Blooming Artichoke

My example of transforming an object is a close up shot of a blooming artichoke. The petals of the bloom when shot from very close perspective almost look like a microscopic view of a bacteria form. Before posting, I increased the sharpness of the inner petals, added glow to the petals in order to create a more obscure look to the bloom, then cropped the photo to leave only the inner most section of the bloom.
