Rowboat by the Bridge and Creme-de-Menthe Kahlua Cheesecake

My first Depth of Field photograph is of a rowboat in the Bellagio Botanical Garden. The photo is an example of a deep depth of field as everything in the foreground and background remained in focus. I edited the photo by cropping the image to better place the boat into the bottom third of the photo and then I applied a slight vignette. The vignette effect was added to dim some of the lighting around the edges in an attempt to give purpose to the illuminated lantern affixed to the bridge. The second image is a Crème de Menthe Kahlua Swirl Cheesecake that I made not long ago for a dinner party, which demonstrates a shallow depth of field. The only editing applied was to add a bit of brightness to the photo.

  1. The boat shot is outstanding. Cropping it was very effective and made it more interesting to view. Great job!
